Cellist Cecylia Barczyk has been lauded as "the first lady of cello" - receiving accolades and high praise from audiences and critics alike for a career spanning four decades and over fifty countries. She has been a sought-after cellist world-wide since her participation in the Tchaikovsky Competition and active participation in the Solidarity Movement of Poland. She has performed recitals on acclaimed stages from Suntory to Carnegie Hall, as soloist with renowned orchestras, released numerous recordings, and is a recipient of the Paderewski Award for Distinguished Contributions to Society and Culture.
